There is a paid parking area where the route begins. About €10 a day. If you want to get rid of the first 3km (without much interest) there is a rack railway, in the same town that leaves you at 1300m. There you can find in the winter months a dome with ice sculptures, it is worth a visit, and about 1 and a half km away, do not miss the Rainerova cabin museum, a mythical place to dive into the history of the porters and mountaineers of these places accompanied by a rich mulled wine. Then you will pass another Zamkovskeho cabin, with rich soups and accommodation. And finally the arrival at the Teryho cabin in the heart of the Tatras in a glacial cirque and with fascinating views. The last 250 meters of unevenness if there is ice, crampons are convenient.
