Itinerary description
Fairly easy hike to a secluded lake. Starting from the Redfish Lake backpackers trailhead, continue to the prominent ridge north of Fishhook creek. From then on the trail is a very easy gradual climb. The ridge offers nice views of the mountains, until the trees obscure the view.
An unmarked -and quite treacherous- trail branches out at 8000 feet of altitude and goes to a beautiful set of alpine lakes below Thompson peak. This is a more difficult hike.
