Great route! Easy to navigate. The step on the ridge looked intimidating but was an easy scramble with limited exposure in reality. Missed the split in the route so watch for that. They have upgraded the path from the village most of the way to the valley now so quite easy walking. Thanks for sharing

Hi Jenny, we camped at Waypoint 17, right in the saddle before the scramble.

Hi Ben, is this via the right ‘bank’ the one that is supposed to be easier? Or is there climbing at some point?🙏

Hi Lidia, I'm not sure which one you mean by right 'bank'. Do you mean the path up from Atmar on the Jais road almost opposite the roundabout? If this is the one you mean that comes in from the north then that has been developed more recently, and is an easy path. Both paths meet at waypoint 8. This route is more or less the same in terms of difficulty, but the path is a little more subtle except the first mile or so. No climbing or scrambling until the 2 paths meet. The only real 'scramble' on this route is at waypoint 17 and is easy to moderate.
