Itinerary description

Very picturesque trail. Easy to follow, challenging to your body. Our iwatces recorded 18 km. Moving time was 5,50hrs. We took 30 min for lunch at the summit. Have no idea why wicilocks counted this way. Views are amazing, shadow most of the way, if you start early. Parking is accessible only by SUV. Lovely goats on the way appreciate your fruit leftovers. As it elevates 1200 m, take your poles as the descent is a killer to your knees. Village people will offer you tea and snacks if you run out. We have met many hikers going further to Jabel Jais as they wanted to avoid the descent. There are many rest places along the trail, but some hikers tend to leave their trash there as there would be slaves running after them to collect…Don’t be like them. Take your things with you.
