Itinerary description
Trek summary:
Day 1: Chame – Upper Pissang
Day 2: Upper Pissang – Manang
---> Day 3: Manang – Khangsar
Day 4.1: Khangsar - Tilicho BC
Day 4.2: Tilicho BC – Tilicho Lake
Day 5: Tilicho BC – Yak Kharka
Day 6: Yak Kharka - Thorong Pedi High Camp
Day 7: Thorong Pedi High Camp - Thorong La Pass - Muktinath
This third stage is a not really heavy continuous ascend slope from 3.5Km to 4.2Km. We wanted to reach Tilicho base camp but finally we decided to stop at Khangsar. The path is really clear in all the stage. We take lunch in a very nice tea house really close to Khangsar, Kahdga. We stop there for so long then if we continue the trek until Tilicho base camp; we risked arriving there during the night. The last step from Khangsar until Tilicho base camp has some technical difficulties and is better pass there when sun is shinning. The tea house where we sleep was really nice; the owner is a very young Nepali guy really agreeable. I was so lucky with the room, from my bed I can see Tilicho peak from all the 4 big windows. My first time over 4000m, with not altitude symptoms, seated in my bed in front of that amazing view and I felt as the happiest woman ever.

Good GPS trail. If desired, this section can be done together with the second section to Tilicho Base Camp, if you leave early enough.
