Highlight:
This second stage is the first contact with the high altitude, because you have to ascend until Manang (3.519m). We were a group of five members, two of them from India and they begin suffering the first altitude symptoms arriving to Manang. Later we meet a group of Israeli people and they tell us that some member of their group abandon the trek in Manang due to the altitude problems. We meet also a new zeland couple, they begin to take altitude medicines (Edemox, Diamox) in Manang, and taking them they manage to finish the circuit. Then that first stage is really important to notice your body how is reacting to the altitude.
The second day I get up very early in Upper Pisang, and then I went alone to the highest part of the village to see the sunrise. There is a very nice Buddhist temple, and the monks use to offer you tea, the place is really lovely and the views are astonishing.
We took porridge as breakfast, enough food for walking during the morning. The first part of this stage include a quite steep slope, you can find there a tea house where you can take something for recover and to enjoy the landscape. There is also a spring, but it might be frozen. At the end of the slope you will reach Ghyaru, a very nice village, where you can also stop. We continue walking some kilometres until Ngawal, we take lunch in the first tea house, and we really enjoy the place, very nice people. Take care in the last part of this trek because you have to be parallel to the river every time, we take for some minutes a wrong path, but we recover the good way soon. Finally we arrived to Manang.
