This is the first stage walking of the circuit; however, we start from Besishahar till Chame by jeep.
Chame is a very cute village, and the headquarters of the Manang district. There, you can find several places for buy even trek material, in case you forget some things before start the trek.
We sleep in a very nice place and take dinner with some friends from one of our colleagues. The tea house is close to the river and a hot springs, where you can take a real hot bath (take profit of it, you can not count with hot shower in the rest of the circuit).
We didn’t get up very early for this first stage, it was one of the easier one, but it was the first contact with the trek and the heavy backpack.
The path is really well indicated and there is no way to be lost. We decide to get sleep in upper Pisang instead of lower Pisang. Pisang is separated by the Marsyangdi river and the upper part has incredible views to the Annapurna natural reserve. We sleep in the tea house Yak and Yeti, the views were amazing and the owners of the Tea house makes feel you in home. The stay was really nice. We have dinner for the first time yak meat. There are a lot of yaks around the area, and local people take profit of them by using their wool for clothes and also they produce yak cheese.
