Itinerary description
We actually began on Palmerston Place at St Mary's Cathedral, entered the Water of Leith walkway at Belford Rd (on the right just before the Modern 2/Dean Gallery garden) down steps and turned right by the Water, signed Roseburn, carrying along following the path to where I remembered to start recording. Then I paused it at lunchtime at the River Almond and forgot to restart immediately. Cross Crammond Brig, walk beside the Queensferry Road. Take a right between stone gate posts and gate house into Barnbougle Estate and follow the road down and around to the left towards the farm, but left in front of the farm to continue by the Cockle Burn. It took the group a leisurely 6.5 hours with tea breaks and a picnic lunch.
