Itinerary description
Rained last night and this morning, packed up in the rain. Its a nice walk up and along several sand ridges before you arrive at Happy Valley. The advantage of walking south- north on the Great Walk, is you are able to celebrate the walk at the local cafe/ hotel. We engaged the Fraser Island taxi service to take us 8km north to see the Maheno Wreck and Eli Creek before heading south back to the barge at Inskip Point.
