Itinerary description
Beautiful hike with varied landscapes and stunning views. Followed clockwise to summit the mountain first, trail is not technical at all, but steep. From the summit of peñalara, followed the ridge along to the end, this was quite technical and slow as rocky and slippery with snow, descent descends via the high lakes and. Ascent via the lakes would be very difficult for the rocky snowy terrain leading up to Peñalara, clockwise is highly recommended.
