Itinerary description
WOW!! You're surrounded by spectacular scenery throughout the entire hike! I think we walked past 5 or 6 lakes in just a 7 mile hike. Wildflowers are everywhere. And from the top of Chocolate Peak you can see mountains farther in the high country that still have lots of snow on them! Also from the peak, you can see many beautiful lakes below. One of the lakes almost looked like it was floating in the air. Take your time on this hike to soak in all of the beauty. (Also, be sure to bring bug spray because there are mosquitoes.)
