Itinerary description

This is Part C of the South Fork Rubicon Ditch Trail. The trail continues here after the difficult section of Part B. As with Part A of the trail, it is very overgrown and one must bushwhack a bit through sections. Eventually when the ditch crosses privately owned timber land, it turns into a road which must be followed for a while until you head off of the road into an old landing, cross a shallow stream, and find the ditch again. When you get back onto the ditch, you will reach point A where you must cross a black top road. The ditch then winds behind South Fork Rubicon Campground which is the end point for the trail. The trail has been flagged with orange ribbons at key junctions. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail and it is too overgrown for them anyway. This is a pleasant hike with a few really nice views.
