Itinerary description
This part is also called the Ohatidaira circuit. You can walk around this big caldera. I did it counterclockwise.
Just before the path to Hokuchin-dake there was a steep snow slope so I needed to kick my way up.
I did a little extra by going to Naka-dake onsen (the walking map said 40' to go and 1h back but if you have good legs you can do it in 25' and 40'). The rest of the hike is a very nice walk up and down, never too steep. The only part I didn't like was the path down, next to the chairlift! Not well maintained, big slippery rocks with moss on them and mud and water! Avoid it after a rainy day.

The most annoying part of the whole descent! Going down next to the chairlift: bad track, mud, moss on the rocks so slippery.
