Itinerary description
Very well signalled portion of the E4 path that links Sougia to Paleochora. Starting in the shade of the Gorge’s trees, an easy and fairly short climb brings you to the other side of the mountain. Then all the way down to Ancient lissos - it’s worth noting that the ancient city is scattered upon the hill in front of you once you finish your descent. Most pictures of the site are of the mosaic, but there is a remarkable small theatre and plenty of old houses. The bay at the end is just marvellous - boat taxis come and go for a
