- Capela de San Mamede de Zas (3.1 km)
- Fonte de Rapote (6.6 km)
- Iglesia San Mamede De A Pena (8.0 km)
- Albergue o Rueiro (12.3 km)
- Albergue Municipal de Vilaserio (12.8 km)
- Fuente Do Cornado (14.3 km)
- As Maroñas (19.0 km)
Day 2
We left Negreira passing the Pazo do Caton, home of the 15thC ruling Counts of Altamira and a magnificent sculpture of a emigrant leaving his family to find work in the New World.
The route was again a mix of woodland paths and quiet roads. Our morning coffee stop was at Alto Da Pena. We then had a lovely lunch stop at Vilaserio where we abandoned our sandwiches to try the menu del dia at Casa Vella and chat to some other pilgrims. This was a beautiful setting with lovely hosts and I would highly recommend.
The afternoon section took us though farming countryside with all associated animals and smells!
We finished the day at Santa Mariña with drinks at Casa Pepe. We were picked up here by our host for a short drive to our stay at Air Fervenza. This is a stunning setting around a lake, a well worthwhile diversion and hugely recommended for something really different.
