Sossusvlei, Walking Trail to Deadvlei

Neste passeio a pé faz-se a visita à planície salgada "Deadvlei".
Parte-se do estacionamento para veículos 4x2 (onde termina a estrada alcatroada) e segue-se por entre pequenas dunas e alguma vegetação que encontramos na vizinhança da planície salgada "Cessna Pan".
Próximo do acesso à "Deadvlei" sobe-se pelo cume de uma duna que se situa a norte da planície salgada, permitindo assim ter uma vista panorâmica da mesma.
Desce-se depois a encosta da duna até à zona onde encontramos as acácias, preservadas pela extrema aridez do clima da região.
O caminho de regresso segue um trilho bastante mais plano, em direcção ao parque de estacionamento de veículos 4x4. Aqui, podemos recorrer ao transporte em shuttles (bilhete pago) que circulam entre os vários parques de estacionamento.

Este passeio faz parte de uma viagem realizada com guia da Kiboko Adventures, desde Victoria Falls até à Cidade do Cabo, em Agosto de 2016.

In this walking trail we visit the salt pan "Deadvlei".
It starts in the parking lot for 4x2 vehicles (where the paved road ends) and follows through small dunes and some vegetation found in the vicinity of the salt pan "Cessna Pan".
Close to the access to "Deadvlei" we climb trough the crest of a dune which lies north of the salt pan, allowing a panoramic view of it.
Then we slide trough the dune solpe to the salt pan, to the area where we find the acacias, preserved by the extreme dry climate of the region.
The return track follows a path that is much more flat, towards the 4x4 vehicle parking lot. Here, we can use the shuttles (paid ticket) that transports the visitors among the parking lots.

This walking trail is part of a guided tour from Kiboko Adventures in August 2016, starting in Victoria Falls and ending in Cape Town.
