Itinerary description

It’s a perfect hike for two full hard days. With beautiful landscapes that change. Highly recommended to go from Sonsón to Melcocho. I stopped recording about an hour short of the spot where the chiva will take you to the main road to catch the bus back to Medellin at the end. It’s tough to find a spot when going up and down the mountains to camp. You can make it to some abandoned fincas about half way through that would prefect you from the serious rain.

Also when you arrive in Sonsón you can take a chiva all the way to the top of the first mountain. This will be critical if you want to make it in two days. We did it in three days.

You’ll also want to do everything you can to get a reserved ticket back because there are always no more spaces left.

If going to Sonsón go up! If going to San Francisco don’t go in the path with one tree in the way.

Esta ruta se ve increíble para hacerla. Me podría decir desde que vereda comienza la caminada, o algún punto de referencia, para averiguar la chiva que lo lleva a uno. Y si tiene algún detalle adicional que le sirva a uno para ir.
