Itinerary description
This loop trail starts at Culver Pond Nature Preserve on Gilbert Road, Stafford CT. It heads southwest and eventually reaches an old segment of the Shenipsit Trail. It follows the Shenipsit northward over "The Pinnacle" and Perkins Mountain. It then heads on an old dirt road just south of Rattlesnake Hill on the CT-MA border. There is a dirt road that leads to this hill. It then follows a rock strewn small brook towards Gilbert Road returning on this road to the parking space at Culver Pond Nature Preserve.
