Itinerary description
A wonderful full day out hiking from Trenta to Kranjska Gora. There is a summer bus service connecting Kraniska Gora and Trenta (and all the way to Bovec), so you can take the bus to Trenta and finish back at Kranjska Gora or the other way around.
From Trenta the hike follows the Soca trail along the Soca river with an easy gradient all the way to the Soce source (izvir), where the river turns into a series of small waterfalls. There is a short cable protected section leading to the source itself. Fro that point the trail follows a steep climb to the Vrsic pass through a very nice forest. There a great view from and around the pass. For the way down back to Kranjska Gora the trail follows the eastern bank of Pisnica river which is quite boring, the trail on the other bank might be a better choice.
