The Vila de Belém is located between Ribeira Brava and Juncalinho. It is here, in front of the Community Center, that this connection route, that connects with the Main Route, begins, in Campo Porto. The initial part runs along the stream bed, used as a road, going around Lombo das Vacas and going up a cobbled path until it reaches the Campo Porto plateau. In this place, where there is a water intake hole that supplies the villages of Belém and Morro Brás, is where it is possible to join the Main Route. This sector starts at “Terreiro da Vila da Ribeira Brava” and continues along Rua Direita, passes through the Town Hall and begins a long climb that starts in the Talho area, passing through Rabona and Cruzeta. At the top of the climb you can see the entire valley of Queimadas and the path that takes us to Queimadas de Baixo where, regardless of the time of year, there is always an intense smell of fruit or caramel in the air, the result of local grog production. From Queimadas, the ascent begins to the Fajã Valley, one of the greenest places in São Nicolau. With its fertile land and abundant water this is the place of choice for agriculture in São Nicolau. The climb continues to Lompelado and from there to Cachaço, where the sector ends and the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Sameiro do Monte Cintinha can be found.

A Vila de Belém situa-se entre Ribeira Brava e Juncalinho, é nesta, em frente ao Centro Comunitário, que se inicia este percurso de ligação com o Percurso Principal, em Campo Porto. A parte inicial decorre ao longo do leito da ribeira, também usado como estrada, contornando Lombo das Vacas e subindo um caminho empedrado até chegar ao planalto de Campo Porto. Neste local, onde existe um furo de captação de água que fornece as aldeias de Belém e Morro Brás é onde se faz a ligação com o Percurso Principal.
