Rackova valley
Račkova Valley is a dell under the main ridge among peaks Klin (2176 m), Koncista (2071 m), Hruby vrch (2137m). Rackova dolina widens between side ridges and ends by Liptovska kotlina. The dell is 9 km long and even today you can see the vestiges of glacier´s activity. It ´s mountainous on the top and green at the bottom of the valley where you can find many footpaths. It ´s interesting place for entrance to the world of beautiful nature and spectacular hikes.
HIKING: You can enter to the valley from the “Liptov village” – Pribylina where is very interesting museum of the folklor architecture (Open air museum of Liptov village). Red line is prevents on the border of National park of Tatry from The Ziarska valley to the Podbandske. It is very comfortable walk and it offers amazing views of the Liptov valley. Green line goes from the Northwest to the top of Baranec. It is much more harder than the first walk. Tourists prefer a path which stretches more deeply into Rackova valley. The first one called Uzka valley is about 2 km long and it is conected with Rackova valley and Jamnicka valley( 960m). You can find more tracks after the glacier´s activity in both of them. Yellow line starts from the branch (bus stop) of Rackova valley. The first two thirds are very easy for the hiking. The line continues trough the wood to the large Prostredna Polana with an old cottage – the evidence of last pastoralism. Blue line goes deeply to the Rackova valley. It is about 2 km long.

TRANSPORT ( How to get there)
CAR(your own transport): exit from the motorway D1 in Liptovsky Hradok on the „Way of freedom“ to the Pribylina
BUS: There is a possibility to use a regular bus line from Liptovsky Mikulas to Pribylina. It costs around 1,50€.
TRAIN: If you want to get to Pribylina, you can get a train from L. Mikulas to Liptovsky Hradok( 1 €) only because there is no direct connection to Pribylina than you´ll have to take a bus from L. Hradok.
