Itinerary description

A little over two miles along the bed of an old logging road followed by a short bushwack down the side of the valley to a spectacular 50' waterfall.

Turn off

This is the best point to turn off the logging road and start down the hillside to the best views. Take the slope gently to the right and work back toward the valley. There is no real trail from here on, but I've saved the track of the easiest way down I found.

stream

You cross many trickles of water feeding into the valley below but this is the first that might take some work to avoid getting wet. Of course the more water here, the more likely the falls will be spectacular.

Trailhead

Room for 3-4 cars to pull off the road at the beginning of an old logging trace.

creek

This is the second relatively major stream crossing and provides most of the water for the falls. The more the merrier.

Overlook

Great spot for viewing the falls and selecting a path down and/or across to the sheltered "ruins" area. After taking plenty of pictures of the falls I would just follow the creek bank back to the top to take in the cascades leading down to the falls and rejoin the trail at the crossing point.
