Itinerary description

30km from aghios Nikolaos ,after elounda Plaka up to Vrouhas Louma Skinias there is some forgotten small villages, one of them is Finokalias. From thear start the small but beatifull gorge of skotini (dark). Easy to walk , full of herbs and oak trees .Then at the end turn left(west) to fascinating aghios Andreas monastery. Builded in the cave contains all that atmosphere orthodox churchs have. Open to everyone,there is water ,seat at the rest area to relax. Then by the road up to village,after aghios Nikolaos church find the old path from venetian times and take it back.
