Itinerary description
A lovely walk through changing scenery, a mix of dirt roads, tracks and river bed. The trial takes you to the Iera Moni Sotiros Monastery which is very beautiful and worth a look inside (take a few euros to donate).
You will see lots of wild sage, flowers and pine trees and there are some really great views over Skopelos town. The clamber down is through a river he’s which is quite steep, rocky and uneven with lots of loose rock so sturdy shoes and a walking stick helpful. Also quite a lot of low level scratchy shrubs so long trousers not a bad idea, but we didn’t and we’re fine. No facilities on the way do take plenty of water.
