Itinerary description

On this hike, you start out on a section of the trail that passes through a shaded, pleasant wetland. Starting from waypoint photo #4 , you will be out in the open so in the summer carry extra water, it can be very hot. You will be on a logging road from this point on - keep a wary eye out for truck traffic! The road stays fairly flat up until waypoint photo #9 and after that it starts to ascend fairly steeply. At the end there is a great spot to sit in the sun with a nice view back down into the valley (not on the day of this hike though).
