Itinerary description
Route: Ski resort Bigell - Glacial Lakes - Dardha center

Difficulty: Easy
Description:
This moderate hike starts at the ski piste of Bigell on the road between
Korca and Dardha. There is no service and drinking water at the ski resort
during summer. After a short ascent up the slope it leads gently down to
some glacial lakes with intense vegetation. The trail is not marked at all
but pretty good visible at most time. Some passages lead through tight
forests with thick vegetation. There is no need to carry lots of drinking
water as there are plenty of streams and fountains along the trail. The last
third of the distance follows a gravel road which leads onto the paved road
down to Dardha. Alternatively you can watch out for a cross-country
shortcut through the forest directly down to the village center of Dardha.
In Dardha you can find all kind of basic services like accommodation,
restaurants and bars.
