Itinerary description
Sitges - Buddhist monastery
It took 2h20m to get all the way up. It is an easy and nice path, very popular among bikers as well, but you meet also cars quite often along the way.
Giving the back to Sitges train station, start walking to the left to find the underpassage to reach the other side of the railways. You have then to walk up till the Commercial area, where there are indications to Parc del Garraf.
The trail is very easy to follow and to walk, it only makes the legs tired because of walking all the time up and down.
Up to the monastery there is kind of a village with also a restaurant, and the temple itself is a very touristy place, you have to pay to visit it inside.
Buddhist monastery - Garraf
You have to walk up on the asphalt road for a while, which in some points requires attention because there's not much space for pedestrians. When it starts to go downhill and you'll get until a crosswalk, take the path to the right. There will be another easy path taking you until a house, where you'll have to turn left into the fields to start your way through the narrower path. That's the trickiest part of the trail, above all going downhill, because it's narrow and stoney, but it's also the most attractive since there are no cars anymore :)
For an easier way you can also choose to go back to Sitges for the same way you went up.
I walked this trail on the 8th of December on a very sunny and clear day and it's been very pleasant. But because the path is going up and down, there are some parts in the shadow particularly humid and cold.
