Itinerary description

A great hike in the Hampaturi area. Take private transport to the Aiuan Dam. This is beyond the Hampaturi Dam. A good driver can take you further, getting you close to the Sirk'i Dam. You don't actually want to go to the Sirk'i Dam. Instead, take the gradual slope up towards Sirk'i Negro, hugging the steep slopes to your left. It's all very gradual until you get close to the peak. The last 150 vertical meters are a steep scramble that casual hikers might not enjoy. From the summit, you have fantastic views at many glaciated peaks, including an up-close look at Sirk'i Qullu, a glaciated mountain of some 5550 meters above sea level.
