Itinerary description
A walk that does not hit the most trafficked spots around Sintra, but rather focuses on nice, varied woodland. The ultimate goal is a tower called Tholos do Monge.
There are some parts of the walk which goes into quite rough terrain and then back out. I did this mainly to observe some of the flora that appears in the Sintra woods after a prolonged period of rain. Mushrooms springs up a lot when that happens. Don't eat any unless you know what you are doing!
The trail takes a lower route back which is below the tree line most of the way back, but with an exceptional view of Guincho and its surroundings.
