Itinerary description
Lovely walk around most of the Sigulda area highlights. There is an extensive network of trails, so it's easy to make the trail longer or shorter. The trails are very well maintained and marked, with plenty of benches and picnic tables along the way. The river valley is quite steep, so there's some stairs going up and down, but also beautiful views. Easily reached from Riga by train or bus

There's all kinds of things in the Sigulda castle complex. You can visit the castle itself, there are workshops, shops and cafés. Good place to spend an hour or two, especially in nice weather.
