Itinerary description

Day 1 of a four day hike known as the Quilotoa Loop. We took the 9:30 bus from Latacunga at $2.15 pp and were dropped off in Sigchos just before noon. The trail heads through town and ends at the Llu Llu Lama Hostel in Isinlivi.

There are lots of twists and turns to the trail with most of it on the road (very few vehicles). A good map, great written directions or GPS is needed. Neat towns, nice views (including the bus ride to Sigchos) with slightly more up elevation than descending on this leg. A good start to our loop!

Here is the summary for the four day hike: Quilotoa Loop

Nice trail, downloaded the map to maps.me - made it very easy to follow.
Took me just under 3 hours with breaks.
