Showkah Dam Steps Short Loop #2

We, a few friends went on a Beginner Hike at Showkha Dam Trail.

Last week we had hiked the shortest loop of 3.8 Kms that also included 700 Steps Staircase.

This week, we started and ended the hike similarly, but we extended the hike by walking till the 2nd Shortcut option towards the Wadi Showkha.
This trail is of 5.6 Kms length.

This Trail is the best for beginners to try out and test their abilities, and also climb up all the way the 700 steps Staircase and enjoy impressive view from the Summit Platform.

We Climbed up all the stairs, and then climbed down through the mountain Trail.
Then from the 1st Fork at the bottom, we hiked up the mountain again ( There's a thatched shelter and view point at the Top) and reached down to the 2nd Fork.

Then we took the Detour in the Right to shorten the Hike.
The detour reaches a Thatched Shelter, so we took right to reach the Dam.

If anyone is visiting Showkha dam area for a Picnic or camping, I suggest you do this short trail to get the well deserved Hiking experience.

There are many level combinations possible in Showkha.
2nd Shortest is this Trail.

Parking is best at The Showkha Dam Park.

There are Restrooms too. Small park for Kids and Family area available nearby.
Barbecue facility is also there in the Wadi section close to the park.

As usual, please take care and caution considering the weather and your abilities.
2L-3L water, Electrolytes and some Fruits should be minimum and other precautions.

We started at 5.30pm, and got good day light to hike till the end.
