Itinerary description

Beautiful but quite exhausting trail since it’s just going up with some very steep parts; the 360 view from Akaiwa is stunning; on the way down you walk along a beautiful river with many tiny waterfalls and cascades; since the first 3 km are a walk along a busy road passing several factories and repair shops I highly recommend to take the bus, the bus stop is at the road in front of the supermarket, I took a photo of the schedule; I took the bus on the way back from Nishikawa bus stop; if you don’t have enough power or time you can easily skip Akaiwa and shortcut the trail by 3 km; should you have time and desire try out the nearby hot spring after coming down, the bus also stops there so that you can go back to Akaiwa Stn. easily
