Itinerary description

ENGLISH

_How to arrive

There is a large parking lot at the entrance to the natural park with toilets, restaurant and wifi

There are buses from Keelung

_ Route

Taroko is a beautiful natural park but very turistic. There are nice routes and free access but too artificial. We decided to combine the Shakadang route which another more difficult.

Once you finish Shakadang, we climbed a drop of 700 meters at a time. We consider it difficult because of the distance, the unevenness and the humidity. There are sections with bridges and ropes.

We deviated to climb the top but there was no visibility through the fog and the path is through a bamboo forest. We consider that if it is not clear, it is not worth it.

Part of the way back is asphalted to connect two village. Then there is a descent through a natural path that finally connects with the wooden stairs that lead to the parking.

_Recommendations

Anti-mosquito repellent

Start very soon because it is a very long route and from midday, there is usually fog or wind above.

_Cómo llegar
