Itinerary description
An easy 10 km trail with lots of shadow, a gorge and small waterfalls.
I've done it on a Sunday and there were lots of people at the beginning, picnicking, sunbathing. The trail is very easy to follow.
At a certain point, one needs to pay 10 Lei per person to enter the part called Seven Stairs. It's a very narrow gorge with waterfalls and platforms and stairs. There was a lot of people at it and we had to queue and wait a long time. After the 14 m stairs, they all kind of disappeared and we were practically alone.
Where you pay the 10 Lei, you can pay 50 Lei to do the Tyrolean way down. It looked fun, with lots of cables one'd use to slide down, hanging from. They had helmets. We didn't do it, because we wanted to hike up.
At the end of the gorge, instead of following the same direction, we've turned sharply left, following a trail that goes steep up. It's well marked with blue triangles.
This was a little slippery due to rains, but perfectly doable and easy.
After following it for a while, at the highest point of our hike, we turned down, following a trail marked with white-red-white stripes.
It zig-zagged down, back to where we had left the car.
One could go by bus to the village where the trail starts. I've seen people at a bus stop on the main road.
I'd avoid the weekends.
The trail was easy and short.
Enjoy!
