Itinerary description
A route in the rocky countryside of the Serras de Aire.
The route goes through pastoral land at the base of a hill and then goes up the hill. There is very little shade on the route which important to note when walking in the summer. Don't forget the hat!
Also, a lot of the passages are completely overgrown - not sure if this is due to reduced maintenance during Covid-19 or reduced walking. This means that you could be completely covered in burrs right in the beginning of the trail if you have the clothes that attracts them. And shorts are not recommended!
On the ridge of the hill, there is a shortcut that we decided to take due to a minor injury, so this route is slightly shorter than the full route. The shortcut is signposted.
The trail would be easy if it were not for the overgrown paths which were quite difficult to penetrate.
