Seri - Barri Baik - Mushkpuri - Lalazar - Nathia Gali

We started travel early morning at 7 am.
Reached Nathia Gali around 11 am.
Got a Suzuki to drop us at the village of "Seri Khan Kalan" at Bakot road.
There is a bakery where we got dropped and started trek there.

Initial trek was moderate as we passed through sparsely populated village. We tried to convince the local people to accompany us but they asked Rs. 4,000 which we found to be little extra. Finally we reached a place where kids were playing cricket and two teen age boys offered to guide us for Rs. 2,000 only.

From there the Jungle started and also the steep hike in humid, suffocating weather and very slippery surface. We were literally climbing by catching on the bushes and branches of the trees.
We found water from the pipeline that delivered spring water to the village.

After several hours, we reached a point from where the trail actually began and led us to a ridge. Trek was mostly moderate to easy from there except for a section where were literally climbed a wall again catching on the tree branches.
Ridge park was exquisite as it was not only full of colorful blossoms but also we found delicious berries to eat.

Clouds covered us completely at a point. There was prediction of rain but that was long ago. While it looked magical with clouds, but pictures need sun or atleast good light.
Luckily clouds cleared in no time.
Next was the scenic meadow and the small pond which is visible from Mushkpuri top.
Here we could see the top. There were cows grazing next to the pond and one started chasing me. It was the most picturesque spot.

There was a huge group of boys that belonged to "Jamiat", and they were chanting on loudspeakers how Jamiat was going to live for thousands of years.
We had some snacks and were on our way to Lalazar Trek.

Which was as usual a little muddy but avoidable. Family were enjoying a pleasant afternoon all over the track. At the Zoo, there was only one leopard now, in the past there were two.
As we reached the town of Nathia Gali, rain started and soon it was heavy rain. There was traffic jam due to rain and Sunday. Walking back to the vehicles was wonderful as rain gave the hill town a new look. By chance I was carrying umbrella so I was partially dry.

We changed out shoes and travelled back. There was huge traffic jam till Darya Gali which took 1 extra hour.

تقریباً گیارہ بجے نتھیا گلی پہنچے۔
بکوٹ روڈ پر واقع گاؤں "سیری خان کلاں" میں ہمیں ڈراپ کرنے کے لیے سوزوکی ملی۔
وہاں ایک بیکری ہے وہاں ٹریک شروع کیا۔

ابتدائی ٹریک اعتدال پسند تھا اور ہم ایک گاؤں سے گزرے۔ ہم نے مقامی لوگوں کو اپنے ساتھ آنے پر راضی کرنے کی کوشش کی لیکن انہوں نے 4,000 روپے مانگے۔ جو ہم نے تھوڑا سا اضافی پایا۔ آخر کار ہم ایک ایسی جگہ پہنچ گئے جہاں بچے کرکٹ کھیل رہے تھے اور دو نوعمر لڑکوں نے ہمیں 2,000 روپے میں رہنمائی کرنے کی پیشکش کی۔

وہاں سے جنگل شروع ہوا اور مرطوب، دم گھٹنے والے موسم اور انتہائی پھسلن والی سطح میں چڑھائی ۔ ہم درختوں کی جھاڑیوں اور شاخوں کو پکڑ کرچڑھ رہے تھے۔
ہمیں پائپ لائن سے پانی ملا جس سے گاؤں میں چشمے کا پانی پہنچتا تھا۔

کئی گھنٹوں کے بعد، ہم ایک ایسے مقام پر پہنچے جہاں سے پگڈنڈی اصل میں شروع ہوئی اور ہمیں ایک چوٹی پر لے گئی۔ وہاں سے ٹریک زیادہ تر اعتدال یا آسان تھا سوائے اس حصے کے جہاں درخت کی شاخوں کو پکڑتے ہوئے دیوار پر چڑھ گئے تھے۔
یہ بہت ہی شاندار تھا کیونکہ یہ نہ صرف رنگ برنگے پھولوں سے بھرا ہوا تھا بلکہ ہمیں کھانے کے لیے مزیدار پھل بھی ملے ۔

بادلوں نے ایک مقام پر ہمیں مکمل طور پر ڈھانپ لیا۔ بارش کی پیشین گوئی تھی لیکن وہ بہت پہلے تھی۔ اگرچہ یہ بادلوں کے ساتھ جادوئی لگ رہا تھا، لیکن تصویروں کو سورج یا کم از کم اچھی روشنی کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے۔
مگر بادل کچھ ہی دیر میں صاف ہوگئے۔
آگے قدرتی گھاس کا میدان اور چھوٹا تالاب تھا جو مشک پوری کی چوٹی سے نظر آتا ہے۔
یہاں ہم اوپر دیکھ سکتے تھے. تالاب کے پاس گائیں چر رہی تھیں اور ایک میرا پیچھا کرنے لگی ۔ یہ سب سے خوبصورت جگہ تھی۔

لڑکوں کا ایک بہت بڑا گروپ تھا جس کا تعلق ’’جمعیت‘‘ سے تھا اور وہ لاؤڈ سپیکر پر نعرے لگا رہے تھے کہ جمعیت ہزاروں سال زندہ رہے گی۔
ہم نے کچھ ناشتہ کیا اور لالہ زار ٹریک کی طرف رواں ہوے ۔

جو ہمیشہ کی طرح تھوڑا کیچڑ والا تھا لیکن قابل گریز تھا۔ پورے ٹریک پر فیملیز ایک خوشگوار دوپہر سے لطف اندوز ہو رہی تھی۔ چڑیا گھر میں اب صرف ایک چیتا تھا، ماضی میں دو تھے۔
نتھیا گلی کے قصبے میں پہنچتے ہی بارش شروع ہو گئی اور کچھ ہی دیر میں موسلا دھار بارش شروع ہو گئی۔ بارش اور اتوار کی وجہ سے ٹریفک جام رہا۔ گاڑیوں کے پیچھے پیدل چلنا بہت اچھا تھا کیونکہ بارش نے پہاڑی شہر کو ایک نیا روپ دیا۔ اتفاق سے میں چھتری لے کر جا رہا تھا اس لیے میں جزوی طور پر خشک تھا۔

ہم نے جوتے بدلے اور واپس سفر کیا۔ دریا گلی تک شدید ٹریفک جام رہا جس میں ایک گھنٹہ اضافی لگ گیا۔
