Sendero Ermita del Calvario, Grazalema
Although there is a bit of uphill all the way to this hermitage, and then an extra bit of climb to the El Santo Mirador, this is an easy walk.
The hermitage dates from the 18th century, having been used until the mid 20th century, when it was abandoned. It is located in the upper north-east slope of the Sierra del Endrinal.
From the heritage make your way back to the intersection where you turn right uphill to the El Santo Mirador. There is a statute of Christ which is hard to see from the village now as trees are starting to overshadow it.
You can start the walk from anywhere in Grazalema but I started it from the big upper car park (all the car parks in Grazalema are free) off the A372.
The Sendero starts adjacent to the Km48 sign. You have to walk along the main road for less than a minute to the start.
A great place to have something to eat before or after the walk is Bar/Restaurant La Posadilla. Really good food and service, and the prices are very reasonable. Opening times for most bars/restaurants are 10am to 4pm then 8pm till late.
