Itinerary description
Out and back from Lincoln Woods up to Mt. Lafayette (only one-way). One way is about 5 hours hiking at a quick pace and about the same amount of time to do the full out and back for a total of ~10-11 hours (not including stops).
Another option if you don’t want to do the out and back is to continue on to Mt. Garfield and do the full "Semi-Pemi" Loop by following the Franconia Brook trail to the east of Owl's Head down until it meets back up with the Lincoln Branch trail. However, this would add ~5 or 6 miles to the trail for a total of ~25 miles.
