Itinerary description
Selce - a marked route to two beautiful waterfalls; slap Brinta & Gregorčičev slap.
There's basically only one path you can follow for the route so you cannot get lost. It's marked as hard since you'll have to do some climbing before you can reach the second waterfall. Apart from that there's some narrow paths but nothing too wild.
Sadly the first waterfall was nearly dried up, but there were some small pools that had a ton of salamanders in them, which we hadn't seen before. From there we went to the second waterfall. This route was clearly less popular than the route to just the first waterfall, but it was still fine. As previously mentioned you'll have to do some climbing to reach the second waterfall, there were also some very steep paths down with quite loose sand. The waterfall is beautiful though, very secluded and serene. Theres a pool that's quite deep where you can swim. From there it's back the way you came.

This is a beautiful route to both waterfalls, sadly Brinta was dried up, but the small pools there were fun to explore. We only saw one other person there, which is surprising as it is such an amazing hike! The second waterfall is notably harder to reach with much narrower paths. I would definitely not take any (small) kids on this hike as it is easy to trip and fall. The second waterfall is definitely worth it, with breathtaking viewpoints and just the overall thrill of making it to the waterfall!
Beautiful! Definitely worth visiting!
