Itinerary description
The trail begins at the Heston trail head just some distance away from the Segla trail head. This trail offers a view of the mighty Segla unlike from the Segla trail head where you dont get to see the sharp rise but instead you can climb up to the peak.
The trail is not difficult but not an easy walk either. Good, sturdy hiking boots are advisable as the trail gets muddy from the rains and is slippery in places. After the initial gradual ascent, the trail increases in gradient and is constantly upwards till you reach the top where it flattens out a bit.
Good boots, hiking poles and a wind cheater/rain jacket is definitely recommended. The parking at the time was near a school and we had to use PrestoPark app to pay the parking which was quite nominal for 2-3 hours.
(The recorded is a loop and not one way.)
