Itinerary description
I started this hike at a small park (with parking lot) just south of Whitevale Road and just west of the village of Whitevale. The trail winds to the south following the bends of West Duffins Creek. Trail is very well marked, good footing (it was a little muddy in low lying areas) and takes you through some mixed forest, stands of cedars and by some meadows and fields. There is a small portion of the trail that follows a road over a bridge (Whites Rd North) but vehicles are blocked from using the bridge.
The trail provides several nice views of the stream and I enjoyed hearing the water as the path approached it's edge. Small wildlife were around including signs of beaver but the animal highlight was a flock of Canada geese rising up from a meadow (that's the kind of honking I like) to start their trek southward for the winter.
The trail works in reverse, but would be more uphill than down (by about 200 feet). For those looking for a longer hike or if you are looking for a trail with the same start/stop point the trail continues to the north and is listed on Wikiloc as Seaton Trail - North and is found here: Seaton Trail - North
Special thanks to Maxini for picking me up at the southern end!
