Itinerary description
A nice trail along the side of West Duffins Creek. On the stretch south, the trail was very well marked (overkill?), on the return portion I branched off the main trail and hiked closer to the water on a more rugged path. This section might be difficult in some seasons as several streams crossed the path I was on and spilled into Duffins Creek. It is easy to ford the streams in the fall and winter, it may be a problem during spring runoff.
Some wildlife (lots of squirrels and birds) a couple of nice stands of cedars, a decent flow of clear water in the creek (canoeing possibilities) were some of the hikes highlights.
A few parking spots are available at the Highway #7 start point and some at Whitevale as well.
The trail system extends further to the south if you like, to access the extension make sure you turn right/west on Whitevale Road, cross the bridge over Duffins Creek and the trail continues south on your left on the far side of a small park (Wikiloc listing for Seaton Trail -South is found here: Seaton Trail - South).
