Itinerary description
This isn't really a trail. Its mostly off trail with some sections following game trails. The slopes can be steep with loose rocks. There are good view of Wadsworth. This is one possible way to ascend Virginia Peak from the East. Most people who peak bag do it from the easier routes on the west side. Actually there is a road that leads practically to the top. For something more difficult I went for a steeper off trail accent. The time it would take to go this way is much longer. In fact I ran out of time so I know I will be back. If you decide to hike in this area be sure to check for ticks. They are definitely here. I saw several.
