Itinerary description
Nice trail through a young forest to a couple of ponds that were created in the area. There isn't a parking lot, but there is a little room at the side of the road for a couple of cars. Lots of side trails (not shown on map at the start of the trail) for the adventurous. Forest is mostly newer growth with some stands of planted red pine (typical in the area) and also some red oak. Start of trail is well marked (16578 McCowan Road) but there is a break in McCowan just south of the trail (use Hwy 48 if coming from the south).
