Itinerary description
Leaving Scoat Fell at 9:30am and heading towards Pillar, with a side hike to Red Pike and onto Black sail pass before descending into the valley towards Wasdale Head.
A steady route to Red Pike, there’s also the possibility of continuing on this side hike to Yewbarrow too.
A short and steep climb to Pillar and a long downhill stint to Wasdale.
There is the option to summit Kirk Fell too after Pillar but we were out of energy this time around unfortunately! But if you can, do it while you are already a good way up.
