Itinerary description

From the Berggasthof Mitterberg you walk on a broad forest road and continue on a narrow and steep path in the wood to the Schwalbenwand. Starting at the Schwalbenwand along the ridge you will get to Schönwieskopf and further to Hundstein. From the Hundstein there is a path via Rupertihaus and Hochschleipfgut back to the starting point Mitterberghof.

Die Hütte der Stoffenalm ist nicht bewirtschaftet und befindet sich auf 1637 m Höhe.

Mitterberghof

Der Mitterberghof liegt auf 1200 m Seehöhe. Von der Terrasse aus hat man ein wunderschönes Panorama auf den Zeller See und das Kitzsteinhorn mit den Hohen Tauern. Die warme Küche ist von 11:00 bis 20:00 Uhr geöffnet. Es werden traditionelle Gerichte und hausgemachte Mehlspeisen serviert. Übernachtungsmöglichkeit bis zu 15 Personen. Für die Kleinen steht ein Spielplatz zur Verfügung. Parkplatz ist vorhanden.

Schwalbenwand

Der Gipfel der Schwalbenwand ist eine breite Kuppe und 2011 m hoch. Das Gipfelkreuz steht ein wenig tiefer, in nördlicher Richtung.
