Itinerary description
A truly epic walk from great Langdale to Scarfell Pike returning via Ersk and Bowfell pike. setting off from the campsite in great langdale, heading along the Cumbria way, before starting the assent to Angel tarn a good place to stop for lunch before continuing to shelter where weather permitting the assent to Scarfell in made. Once there take in the views of the entire area. Next make the assent back towards shelter turning left up to Ersk and Bowfell pikes.

Hi. This looks twice as steep on the return. Would it not be better to go the opposite direction to go easy on the knees? Thanks looks like a great hike and wanna try it
For everyone else. Definitely go clockwise. This way round is not a good idea!
