Scalata Crater Stromboli (924m) - Guida obbligatoria

Strómboli, è un vulcano in continua eruzione e una delle isole Eolie che formano un arcipelago vulcanico nel Mar Tirreno nel nord-est della Sicilia.
Il vulcano Stromboli, a 924 metri sul livello del mare e con una profondità di oltre 2 km sul fondo del mare, ha tre crateri attivi ed è il vulcano in Europa con l'attività più vulcanica. Fu attraverso questi crateri che vennero fuori i protagonisti del romanzo di Jules Verne, Viaggio al centro della Terra.
Quando ci sono grandi esplosioni, sul versante nord-orientale del vulcano, un grande fiume di lava scorre verso il basso e finisce per sciogliersi nel mare. Questa parte prende il nome dalla Sciara del Fuoco, una grande valle che scende dai crateri e che è stata creata da numerosi crolli che si sono verificati negli ultimi 13.000 anni in questa faccia del cono vulcanico. Uno spettacolo naturale che può essere visto da uno dei punti panoramici che si affacciano sulla Sciara del Fuoco e che di notte, può essere visto dal mare nelle barche che escono dal porto.
L'ascesa al vulcano NON può essere fatto da solo, la legge ti obbliga ad assumere una guida autorizzata che puoi trovare sulla stessa isola.
L'itinerario è intrattenuto dai ruggiti dei crateri superiori e dall'adrenalina che si crea nella camminata fino alla cima che dura circa 6 ore. Dicono che è una delle attività che dovresti fare in Europa se ti piacciono la natura, le escursioni e l'avventura.

Strómboli, is a volcano in continuous eruption and one of the Aeolian islands in the volcanic archipelago (Tyrrhenian Sea, north-east of Sicily).
The Stromboli volcano, 924 meters above sea level and with a depth of over 2 km at the bottom of the sea, has three active craters and is the volcano with the most volcanic activity in Europe. It was through these craters that the protagonists of Jules Verne's novel, Journey to the Center of the Earth, came out.
When there are big explosions, on the north-eastern side of the volcano, a large river of lava flows downwards and ends up melting into the sea. This part takes its name from the Sciara del Fuoco, a large valley that descends from the craters and which has been created by numerous collapses that have occurred over the last 13,000 years in this face of the volcanic cone. A natural spectacle that can be seen from one of the vantage points overlooking the Sciara del Fuoco and that at night, can be seen from the sea in the boats that leave the port.
The ascent to the volcano can NOT be done alone, the law obliges you to hire an authorized guide that you can find on the same island.
The itinerary is entertained by the roars of the upper craters and the adrenaline that is created in the walk up to the summit which lasts about 6 hours. They say it is one of the activities you should do in Europe if you like nature, hiking and adventure.
