Going through several of the + 2k in the area but only making the summit at the Scaffell.
The trail leaves from Great Langdale, in the National Trust car park next to the Hikers Bar (a pub where you can celebrate your return with a good beer).
From here the path follows a very clear valley floor and with the road super steep and with access to vehicles to the bottom of the valley.
Here is a small crossroads that leads you into paths that introduce you to more or less wild areas (although this is a difficult concept in the mountains of this country). For the Scaffell, take the left on one of those "paved" stone paths with steps.
It is gaining altitude to a door that takes you to the valleys and hollows that cross the rise. The first spectacular view is when you reach the pass that leads to the Angle Tarn, a black lake, at least on a cloudy day like the one I had.
From here a sub-low to Esk Hause, the second crossroads of the day. Here I have arrived in the middle of the fog and the sense and the map asks you to go to the right but you have to be careful because you have to do as the navigators say "slightly to the right" so as not to start down towards the valleys north of solid.
From here another up-down between stones and the summit. As I said before, I've done this part in the fog and only on the way back have I seen that the road was quite evident.
Already practically in the summit I have begun to meet runners and hikers but until now I have had a fantastic day of solitude with the mountains.
Back on the same path and, fortunately, with the fog rising, which has allowed me to see the incredible landscapes of the Lake District.
Another area trodden and in which the discovery will have to be followed.
